Five hundred years of ups and downs!

Abbasid Caliphate lasted more than five century (132- 656 AH).

And Imam Sadiq (pbuh)’s Imamate was concurrent with the reign [of Abbasid].

In these five centuries (about 524 years), the following were Abbasid caliphs, in turn:

SaffÄḥ, Manṣūr, MahdÄ«, HÄdÄ«, RashÄ«d, AmÄ«n, MaʾmÅ«n, MuÊ¿taá¹£im, WÄthiq, Mutawakkil, Muntaá¹£ir, MustaÊ¿Ä«n, MuÊ¿tazz, MuhtadÄ«, MuÊ¿tamid, MuÊ¿taá¸id, MuktafÄ«, Muqtadir, QÄhir, RÄá¸Ä«, MuttaqÄ«.

Occurring the Minor Occultation [of Imam ZamÄn (mgehr)] in 260 AH_ i.e. in MuÊ¿tamid caliphate_ wasn’t unrelated to the odd events which happened in that period of history.

We will refer to them, in the further posts…
