A deep [heart] quote for Imām Zamān (mGehr), someone who looks forward to the Emergence

My heart is counting down the moments for your Emergence, and my throat is calling out to you! You are the manifestation of love.

I prolong my Qunūt1, so that you pray me, some midnight.

I will sweep the strange lonely alleys, so that you may pass through them in some early morning.

Every day, I turn the light of my heart on with al-Jāmiʿa al-Kabīra (prayer), decorate my Ifṭār table with Āl Yāsīn (prayer) and al-ʿAhd (supplication), and I listen to the affliction of Kumayl (Supplication), for your Emergence!

 

 

1- Qunūt” literally means “being obedient” or “the act of standing” in Classical Arabic. The word Duʿaʾ’ is Arabic for supplication, so the longer phrase Duʿaʾ’ Qunūt is sometimes used.
