I prolong my Qunﾅｫt1, so that you pray me, some midnight.
I will sweep the strange lonely alleys, so that you may pass through them in some early morning.
Every day, I turn the light of my heart on with al-Jﾄ［iﾊｿa al-Kabﾄｫra (prayer), decorate my If盪ｭﾄ〉 table with ﾄl Yﾄ《ﾄｫn (prayer) and al-ﾊｿAhd (supplication), and I listen to the affliction of Kumayl (Supplication), for your Emergence!
1- Qunﾅｫt窶 literally means “being obedient” or “the act of standing” in Classical Arabic. The word Duﾊｿaﾊｾ’ is Arabic for supplication, so the longer phrase Duﾊｿaﾊｾ’ Qunﾅｫt is sometimes used.
