In one of His Excellency’s letters to some of the Shiites, Imām Zamān (mGehr) introduced his role model as follows:
“The Messenger of God (pbuh&h)’s daughter “Fātimā” is a good role model and pattern for me.”
This beautiful statement refers to the point that a human needs role models and mentors in each period of life.
It looks like some of the Shiites refused to accept His Excellency’s Imāmate. So, the Excellency expressed the reasons for having such role models:
1/ Preventing the defeat of God’s will and the revelation of the divine secret
God’s will is always victorious and prevails over all else. Therefore, an Imām is to behave in such a way that God’s will is not defeated by others! In addition, revealing the divine secrets is condemned in the religion! Hence, the Excellency stated:
If it were not because of preventing the defeat of God’s will or revealing His secrets, our truth would have been so evident to you that your minds would have been amazed and your doubts would have been dispelled.
Here, God’s will is the same as the Imām’s; otherwise, both principles of Imamate and Shiites will be destroyed! Moreover, an Imām’s duty is to pave the customary direction and common path in society, and just perform Kirāmah1 in special cases. The same happened to Her Majesty Zahrā (pbuh), who paved the common path.
2/ The motherly love of the Imām for the Shiites
Imām Zamān (mGehr) certainly loves his Shiites, just as his mother [ancestor] “Her Majesty Zahrā (pbuh)”. In this regard, he stated:
“If we didn’t love you, didn’t consider your goodness, didn’t have mercy and compassion for you, we would stop talking to you!”
It was like what his mother did! His mother has loved the Shiites so much that, she will collect even her friends’ friends on the Resurrection Day and lead them to paradise.

Note that, to consider Her Majesty Zahrā (pbuh) as a role model, there are other cases besides these two. But here we haven’t mentioned them.
1- Imāms perform Kirāmahs by the permission of God. But prophets (pbu th) perform miracles which were permitted by God, in the first of their prophethood.
