I see it proper to mention the summery of what my Shaykh “Thiqat al Islām Nurī (mGbph)” in the book “Kalimah Tayyibah”. He first proved that, the Twelver Shi’as will be saved/ prosperous among seventy three sects! Then, he mentioned, ‘The prosperity of this crowd during the ages lies in its extreme weakness, lowliness, scarcity, and laxity, for various reasons. Most of the reasons are related to the infidels who commute the holy land of Iran!
This one plus the intensity of Muslims’ interaction, love for them, the absorption of the goods, clothing, tools and furnishings of their houses, and the [gradual] spread of polytheism in every city and village, are of the reasons.
The situations has continued until, there is nothing left of the necessities of life, the means of physical comfort, and ease except a sign, a name, a reminder, and a formality! The result and effects of those behaviors are countless corruptions, and harms that have been found in the religion of Islām.
[The harms are as follows:]
First, Heart-felt hatred towards infidels and atheists, which is one of the pillars of religion and a part of faith, has taken away from the Muslims’ hearts! [On the contrary,] their love and friendship, which is in conflict with the love of God and His Walīs, have existed such as water and fire[1]! Yet, it has become a source of pride and a cause for boasting for Muslims!
Mind that, The Almighty God stated:
لَا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ يُوَادُّونَ مَنْ حَادَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَوْ كَانُوا آبَاءَهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ أَوْ إِخْوَانَهُمْ أَوْ عَشِيرَتَهُمْ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ كَتَبَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْإِيمَانَ
You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith… (Surah Mujādilah, Verse 22)
In addition, God stated:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ
O, you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; … (Surah Ma’idah, Verse 51)
Furthermore, in “Man Lā Yaḥḍuruhu al-Faqīh”, the author narrated from Imām Ṣādiq (pbuh), who stated:
God inspired one of prophets [pbu th] as follows, ‘Order believers, not to wear the clothes worn by my enemies, nor eat the foods eaten by them! Also, they are not allowed to pave the path of my enemies; otherwise, you will turn into them just as they are my enemies!
On the same subject, in the book “Ja’fariyat”, the author narrated from Amīr al Muʾminīn (pbuh) who stated at the end:
They are not allowed to have the appearance of my enemies!
Moreover, according to “Amālī” by Shaykh Ṣadūq, Imām Ṣādiq (pbuh) stated, “Whoever likes an infidel, is the enemy of God. On the contrarily, whoever opposes an infidel, like God!”
Then he stated, “The friend of God’s enemy, is [verily] God’s enemy!”
In the book “Ṣifāt al-Shīʿa”, they narrated from Imām Riḍā (pbuh), who stated:
In fact, among the people who pretend to have our “Ahl al Bayt’s” affection, there are a group whose sedition is more severe on our Shiites than the Dajjāl!
There the narrated wondered, “How come?” and the Imām (pbuh) stated:
Through loving our enemies and hating our friends! As in this way, Right and Wrong will be mingled and doubted, and the believers and hypocrites are not discriminated!
The Sir also stated something about the people who are of the tyrant, religiously suspicious, and the ones who easily surrender.
In this regard, in “Khiṣāl”, the author narrated:
Whoever loves them [the enemies], s/ he opposes to us! But whoever opposes them, s/ he loves us [Ahl al Bayt (pbu th)]. In addition, whoever has had relationship with them, s/ he has cut he relationship with us! Contrarily, whoever cuts the relationship with them, has relationship with us!
Whoever bothers them, s/ he does favors to us. But whoever does favors to them, s/ he bothers us! Moreover, whoever respects them, s/ he insults us. But whoever insult them, respects us! Whoever has denied them, s/ he has agreed with us. But whoever has agreed with them, s/ he has denied us!
Furthermore, whoever helps them via good activities, s/ he has done bad to us. But whoever helps us, s/ he has done bad to them! Whoever confirms them, s/ he has rejected us. But whoever confirms us, s/ he has rejected them! Also, whoever gifts them something, s/ he has deprived us. But whoever gifts us, s/ he has deprived us!
O, Khālid’s son! Whoever is of our Shiites, s/ he must not make friend ship or fellowship with them!
Yet, as the penalty of such a type of disbelief is like this, other disbelievers will be in two types: They are either worse than it, or not [so much] better than them!
The second are some people who holds grudge against the religion and the path of Muslims in their hearts. Also, they oppose to the religious people, scholars and the righteous ones who care for the ethics of Shariʽa. They deny the religion in their hearts and with language! Well, in the course of time [by having a lot of contact] and by having relationship with them, similarity will happen between these two groups!
Normally, all humans innately hate disagreeing with their own lifestyles and paths, which have been mixed with joy and getting benefit; especially if that disagreement leads to denying or rejecting the principles!
Therefore, due to following deviating paths, or spreading and showing these paths, sometimes they reach to the points that are about to make contracts with Jewish scholars or elders!
And sometimes they help some needy Jews whose hearts are full of hate and disgust [to the Muslims]! Well, helping these types of people is not advising. A crowd of them even get furious to see the turbans of Muslims; because, they consider the Muslims as bans to their having fun and useless works!
This immense hatred leads to abhorrence, ridiculing, making fun, and pointing with eyes and fingers in order to degrade them a lot! The deviated ones ridicule the manners and behaviors of people of knowledge, when they Muslims are studying or worshipping God. It is in such a way that, they ridicule the Muslims in their own fun times, and it is an adornment of their entertainment gathering!
They have gone beyond and composed rhythmical and other poems about Muslims! Yet, these actions and behaviors were experiences, when the disbelievers saw Muslims [in the early time of Islam]! These actions included: making fun with their words, pointing with eyebrow and eyes, degrading, and humiliating Muslims as much as possible!
Mind that, in many verses, God promised them the terrestrial and celestial torments!
Their grudge and hatred and [at the same time] their respect and regard to Muslims, are in extreme contrast and conflict and never gather together!
In many narrations, the domain of faith is limited to affection and opposing for the sake of God. The Imām stated:
The faith is nothing but, affection and opposing for the sake of God; satisfying and loving for God, and also grudging against His enemies and what they like.
In addition, in Nahj al Balāghah reads:
His Excellency Amīr al Muʾminīn (pbuh) stated, ‘If we loved what God hates and respect what God humiliates, it is verily enough to mean that we have opposed God and turned our back on Him!!
Anyway, the problems of present Shiites in The Last Era Prophet (pbuh&h) has reached that, most of the ordinary people are unaware of the essential issues; for example, they commute, sit with, and get close to [some of bad] Christians, and the people who believe in Zanādiqa[2] and Dahriyyah[3]! It is in such a way that, words of those atheist and infidel people have been inherited to and spread between the Muslims, because of their current atheism!
Hence, they have been leaving the religion in large groups! Well, they not only don’t know or don’t care for committing to big sins like breaking fasts in Ramaḍan, in public, but also they are proud of it and make fun of, laugh at, and ridicule the believers. In their point of views, Muslims are fool, incomprehensible, unknown, tasteless…
Sometimes they know the believers as sanctimonious, and always complain at The Almighty God’s actions and find faults! On the other side, they praise and complement the wise and European people; they speak of those people’s extreme wisdom and intelligent. And this is the adornment of their assembly and word of their mouths!
They consider those wise people’s crafts and actions in science and math, as extraordinary things, while those knowledge have been gained through perseverance. They also consider those accomplishments equal to the miracles and spiritual extraordinary actions of prophets and their successors!
They avoid gatherings of scholars, and also dislike and hate to hear about theology or resurrection day. If they get involved in such as meeting, they will pretend they are asleep or they beat the bush!
They assume that caring the poor and the religious people is nonsense and useless. On haram ways and committing big sins, they spend the impure money which have been earned through many haram ways and taken by force from widows and orphans, on haram and great sins. They feel they are wealthy, dignified and respectable! Unlikely, they consider the scholars and pious people, as some beggars and despicable!
They like to use silver and gold dishes, wear gold and golden and silk clothes, shave their bears. They also dress in the style of Banī Marwan and Banī Umayyah. They think the loveliest and most perfect languages are French and English.
In addition, they consider their misleading and blasphemous books of Jews proper and convenient and see them as substitutes for Qurˈan or texts of Infallible Imāms (pbu th). Know that, although those Jews have been living with Christians for many years, they haven’t lost their religious rituals and customs.
And the Muslims have left Islam, because of that short time trip [to disbelieving]! Just a few sins haven’t been spread by them, and the sins don’t look abhorrent anymore!
Moreover, there has only little left of worship and obedience to God, which is not just in names and appearance, or haven’t been corrupted or disrupted!
[These days], the truthful believers don’t success in enjoining good and forbidding evil; they are disappointed with the effectiveness of this duty! Also, they cry and suffer from the weak faith of people, isolation of Islam, and spread of sins.
Thank God, the truth Unseen news by The Last prophet (pbuh&h) about these corruptions and others, are have been gradually appeared in the nation.
In his book “Tafsīr”, the glorious Shaykh “Alī ibn Ibrāhīm Qummī” narrated from Ibn Abbās, that he said:
Once we went on Hajj with the Messenger of God (pbuh&h). There, he held the ring of the door of Ka’ba, turned his face toward us, and stated, ‘Don’t you want to know the Signs of Resurrection Day?!’ Salmān who was the closes to the Sir replied, ‘Yes, the Messenger of God!’
Of the Signs of Resurrection Day is wasting prayer, obeying the passions, inclining to false ideas, respecting the wealthy, and replacing the religion with the world [the celestial to the terrestrial]! That time, the faithful people’s hears will be in turmoil, such as sault dissolving in water! It means, they observe committing sins/evils, but cannot to change the situation!
Salmān wondered, ‘O, the Messenger of God! Will these events definitely happen?
The Messenger of God (pbuh&h) stated, ‘O, Salmān! I swear to God who owns my soul, it will! Then they will enjoin wrong/evil and forbid good! Also, the trustee will turn into betrayers and betray others [; likewise,] people will confirm liars and reject honest ones!
Salmān profoundly wondered, ‘O, the Messenger of God (pbuh&h)! Will these things [verily] happen?! His Majesty stated, ‘I swear to the one who owns my soul, it will!
The Majesty continued, ‘O, Salmān! At that time, the women will rule, the maids will corporate with others, and the children will sit on the pulpits![4] Then, lying will be consider as smartness, and Zakat[5] will be considered hurting properties!
When they catch the infidels’ possession, they will save it and not spend it on the Muslims’ affairs! The people will oppress their parents, and hate their own friends!
Just then, a comet will rise!’
Again Salmān wondered, ‘Will these things happen!!’ And the Majesty repeated, ‘I swear to the one who owns my soul, it will! At that time, the wives verily partners with their husbands in businesses! It will rain in summer, the manly won’t exist anymore, and the poor will look humiliated! The markets will expand toward each other; some storekeepers will express, ‘We haven’t been selling anything!’ and others will say, ‘We haven’t benefited any!’’
In sum, you won’t see [most] of the people, except the ones who are criticizing God.’ Salmān reiterated, ‘Will these things happen!!’
‘O, Salmān! At that time, the rulers will rule over the people whom if they protest, he will kill them. And if they remain silent, will make them desperate! In fact, they [the ruler] will plunder their spoils, trample on their dignity, and shed their bloods!
In reality, the people’s hearts will be full of corruptions and fears. And you cannot see them, but in fear and worried.’
Again Salmān wondered, ‘O, the Messenger of God! Will these thigs happen?!’ And the Prophet (pbuh&h) stated, ‘I swear to the one who owns my soul! It will! At that time, they will verily bring some things from the East and other things from the West, in various colors and decorations! Hence, woe on the weak-limbed people of my Ummah/ nation! Also, woe on them, because they will be punished by God!
[At that time,] the people won’t have mercy on children, won’t respect the elderlies, and don’t forgive the wrong doers! Their bodies are like humans but their hearts are of devils!’
Salmān repeated, ‘Will these things happen?” The Majesty stated, ‘I swear to the one who owns my soul! That is true. O, Salmān! At that time, the men will marry other men and the women will marry other women! They will envy men just as they envy girls! The women will ride horses. Well, damn on these types of women [riding in special situations].’
Will these things happen?” The Majesty stated, ‘I swear to the one who owns my soul! That is true! At that time, they will embellish and gold-work mosques such as, embellishing and …the temples of Jews and Christians. Additionally, Qur’ans will be decorated and minarets will lengthened. And many people will have hatred and enmity in their hearts, and do not understand each other’s words.
At that time, a nation will appear who learn the religion for the sake of others; not God! Also, the bastards will increase in amount and some people will recite Quran like singing!
The people will fight with each other for terrestrial world!
There, Salman question, “Will these things happen?!” The Prophet stated:
I swear to the one who owns my soul, it will! O, Salman! There, the respective relationships will be cut off, they seek for sins, and the wicked ones will overcome the good ones! Lying will be spread, the obdurate people will exist, and poverty will increase. The people will be in need and also proud of clothes!
It will rain, in improper time! And the people will consider and think of backgammon, chess, drum, and [unlawful] musical instruments, as something nice. They will abhor enjoining good and forbidding wrong! Hence, the faithful will be more humiliated than a bond girl!
In addition, the Quran reciters and worshippers will be blamed; they will be considered as hateful and impure!
Then, Salman wondered, “Will these things happen?!” And the Majesty stated:
I swear to the one who owns my soul, it will! O, Salman! The rich won’t care about the poor, so that the poor will not get anything from anyone, from Friday to Fridays!
Again, Salman wondered, “Will these things happen?!” And the Messenger of God (pbuh&h) stated, “I swear to the one who owns my soul, it will!” And so on.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, the lust about the doctrine and the religion will disappear in such a way that, if a disbeliever or a opponents gravely harms the religion, the people won’t be upset! On the contrary, if their Muslim brothers [or friends] financial little loss. Well, the people will walk away/ abandon from the religion, while others will not care!!

4_Here, the Prophet (pbuh&h) referred to the negative side of the subject, not to all cases.
5_It is a financial obligation in Islam based on which Muslims have to pay a certain amount of nine items to be spent for the poor and for other social purposes. These nine items are: two types of coin (gold and silver), three types of livestock (camel, cow and sheep) and four grains (wheat, barley, dates and raisin). The amount of zakat for each item is different and is discussed in jurisprudential resources.
