The Occulted Imam [Imam Mahdī (mgehr)] in Qurʾān

[1] الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بالغیب وَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاة وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْناهُمْ يُنْفِقُون

Translation:

Those who fear Allah, are the ones who believe in the Unseen, are the steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them.

Imam Sadīq (pbuh) interpreted this verse as:

The pious are the ones who believe in and confess, the rightful rise of His Excellency Qa’im 2 [Imam Mahdī (mgehr)].

And by the word “غیب”, it refers to “The Occulted Imam (mgehr)”.

1- بقره آیه 3

2-     Qa’im is one of Imam Mahdī (mgehr)’s titles which means “The Riser [of The Justice].”
