In the period of al-Hādī (pbuh)’s imamate,
a person wrote a long distance letter to him.
[S/ he wrote],”
‘Sir, I live far from you.
But, sometimes I have some needs or face some problems!
What should I do then?”
The Imam (pbuh) wrote in reply, “
“Move your lips!
Open up and say, [whatever you want.]
We are not [in fact] far from you.1
1- Since Imams are spiritual characters, they can read our thoughts and needs.
