This article examines the internal and external factors that may delay the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), including insufficient spiritual preparedness, moral corruption, social division, the lack of qualified supporters, divine trials, and the absence of the necessary conditions for establishing justice.
This article recounts Shaykh Shushtarī’s reported encounter with a mysterious voice at the grave of Miqdād and his later conversation with a spiritual elder concerning the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance). It also explores the account’s reference to the return of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) and the anticipation of the promised reappearance.
There are various narrations about Sufyanī ’s religion. But as they aren’t documentarily reliable enough, we cannot come to a definite view about Sufyanī ’s religion. Yet, it is definite that he is in severe bias and enmity with Shiites, in his religious tendencies.
If some of you have the same opinion as some deviant ordinary people; that people should increase the disbelief and oppression to prepare the preliminaries for the Emergence of the honorable Imam Zamān (pbuh), hence “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return” [Here it means, “Let the things go wrong. We will die anyway!]
One of our problems in propagating of Christianity and increasing colonialism in the North Africa, in the region of Tunisia and Morocco is that, these people believe that the promised Mahdi (mgehr) will come and glorify Islam. The reporter wrote it in his official report, and sent it to the delegation who is responsible for dealing with these issues.
Imam ʿAlī (pbuh) stated:He [Imam Mahdī (mgehr)] will live in the Major Occultation Era and live ,[for a long time].In such a way that, anthropologist won’t find his trace.While they will try a lot.
In the Last Era and in its proper time, the leader of religion raises.
He installs the flag, then is settled and persistent.
Then, (The faithful) will gather around that honorable [Imam Mahdī (mgher)].
The Holy Prophet [Muḥammad (Pbuh&h)] stated, “God solves problems of people through Imam Mahdī (mgehr)” If we believe that Imam [Zamān (mgehr)] observes our deeds […]
️إذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ [مطففین/۱۳]
When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, “Tales of the ancients!” (Holy Qur`an, Surah AL-MUTAFFIFIN, verse 13)
Imam Sādiq (pbuh) stated:
The above verse shows they [disbelievers’] denied Imam Qa`em (mgehr)
The Martyr Sayyid Muḥammad Ṣadr wrote in his valuable book:
“Dajjāl is a specified culture, civilization and ideology which is the enemy of Islam.”
He believed Western materialistic culture and civilization, is the very Dajjāl in narrations.
And he introduced Dajjāl, as a symbol and allusion of anti- material and anti-Islamic movements.
