Destruction is done in two ways:
a ) Inducing doubt: They [the enemies] destroy the addresses’ minds and distort the belief, by coining some questions and doubts, in a cunning way!
In this regard, the infallible leaders [Imāms (pbu th)] clarified the positions of the believers regarding the enemies’ making doubts. Imām Riḍā (pbuh) narrated from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (pbuh&h) stated:
I swear to the one who Mab’uth [selected] me as a Bashir, Imām Qāʾim (mGehr) is of my offspring. And according to my promise to him, his occultation will last so long that most of the people say, ‘By God, there is not any Hujjat among the Prophet [pbuh&h]’s Ahl al Bayt!
b) Humiliation and ridiculing: As in the early Islamic Era, the enemies usually ridicule the believers. Yet, God described this type of attitude as:
[Surah Mutaffifin, Verse 29]
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe.
Then, in the next verse, [God] stated their ugly attitude:
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
And when they passed by them, they winked at one another.
But to give strength to the Prophet (pbuh&h)’s heart, The Almighty God assured to support him, against the mockers:
[ Surah Hijr, Verse 95]
إِنَّا كَفَيْنَاكَ الْمُسْتَهْزِئِينَ
Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers
