The necessity to address heartfelt relationship with Imam Mahdi (mgehr)

Generally speaking, the basis of human’s activities is their love,Humans move toward and walk in paths that love them.

It is human’s tendencies that bring him to a destination that is excellence for him.

Although using power can also lead us to our purpose, enjoying the “affection” and “love” as well as creating a heartfelt attraction and desire, are stronger leverages and kinds of shortcuts to arrive the destination. They also causes more lasting effects and motivations.

Imam Sādiq (pbuh) stated, “Love and kindness are better than fear and horror. الحب افضل من الخوف

( Biḥār al-Anwār’, V.75, P.226  )

Because of the similarity between the human soul and nature, and the beauty and purity,the love for goodness and affection to values and purities, are in common between all people.And it is expected to know that, “Ahl al Bayt1 (pbu th)” are the most worthy creatures to be loved,

As, they are the most perfect people, collection of all purities, goodness and moral virtue. And in fact, love to them is [the same as] love to God.

It is because they are the manifestation of God on the earth; the whole and perfect manifestation. And Imam Zamān (mgehr) includes all goodness.

To move toward Imam Zamān (mgehr), we need fuel, energy, motivation and hope.

One can check out the reason and necessity of affection [to Imam Zamān (mgehr)] in two ways:

First, we are expected to realize the Imam (mgehr)’s affection and attention to us.

Also [we are expected to] realize the effect of his affection, on us and on the whole universe.

Second, [we need to know] why having heartfelt and relationship with Imam Zamān (mgehr) is necessity, and on which basis should this relationship be regulated?

In the beginning, we answer first question.

Imam Zamān (mgehr)’s affection [to all], is the whole and perfect manifestation of God’s affection to creatures.

In Zīyāra Āl Yāsīn, it reads: السلام علیک ایها الرحمه الواسه

The universal mercy means, an affection which is commonplace. And includes all the universe; creatures and even inanimate.

 

1-     It refers to Imam ‘Ali, her majesty Fatima, Imam al-Hasan, Imam al-Ḥusayn, and the nine infallible Imams (pbu th) who were the children of Imam al-Ḥusayn (pbuh). The Qur’an has used this term in the al-Tathir and al-Mawadda verses. The Prophet (pbuh&h) has stated the high position of Ahl al-Bayt in Islam in such hadiths as Hadith al-Safina[a1]  and Hadith al-Thaqalayn.

2- is a famous text for pilgrimage (ziyara-text) of Imam al-Mahdi (a), which starts with the phrase: “Greetings be to the progeny of Yasin.” The narrator of this ziyara is Ibn Abd Allah al-Himyari who lived in the final period of the minor occultation and several of his letters to Imam al-Mahdi (a) have been narrated; among these letters, one letter (Tawqi’) contains the ziyara Al Yasin.

 

According to the standards of documentation, the chains of transmission of this ziyara are trustworthy and authentic, and it has been reported in important sources of Hadith and supplication. According to some scholars, this ziyara is one of the most complete and comprehensive salutation texts (ziyara-text) for Imam al-Mahdī (mgehr) and it can be recited anytime.
