The Rajʿa of the previous Prophets (pbu th)

One of the narrations that has promised the return of the previous prophets (pbu th) is as follows:

Ê¿Abd AllÄh b. MuskÄn has narrated from ImÄm al-á¹¢Ädiq (pbuh), that His Majesty stated, ‘God had not appointed any prophet, from His Majesty Ä€dam (pbuh) to the end, unless they will return to the world and help His Majesty AlÄ« (pbuh)’.

The Women who will Rajʿa [return to the world]

However, the narrations of RajÊ¿a are not exclusively for women or men, and are mainly under the title of “The perfect believer and perfect disbelieverâ€. But some narrations have referred to the RajÊ¿a of the women, including the narration of Mufaá¸á¸al ibn ‘Umar from ImÄm al-á¹¢Ädiq (pbuh), that his majesty stated, ‘QÄ’im will be accompanied with thirteen women.’ I asked, ‘For what purpose?’. He stated, ‘They will treat the wounded, and take care of the patients; the same way they did when they were with the Prophet (pbuh&h).†I asked if he could name them! His Majesty stated, ‘Ghanva, the daughter of Rushayd, Umm Ayman, ḤabÄba al-WÄlibÄ«yya, Sumayyah, the mother of Ê¿AmmÄr ibn YÄsir, Zubaidah, Umm KhÄlid AhsamÄ«yeh, Umm Saʿīd al-ḤanafÄ«yah, ṢīyÄna al-MÄshiá¹a, and Umm KhÄlid JahnÄ«yyah.

1-     In Shi’a beliefs, it’s an era that a group of people who have died will return to the Earth shortly after the reappearance of the twelfth Shi’a Imam, al-MahdÄ« (mgehr). It is a belief particular to the Shi’a Muslims. The Qur’an has mentioned the story of some people who have been resurrected after death. Based on some hadiths, a number of perfect believers as well as a number of complete infidels will return to this world. The return of Imam Ê¿AlÄ« (pbuh) and Imam al-Ḥusayn (pbuh) has been especially emphasized. Since there are MutawÄtir hadiths about Raj’a, it is a certain fact. However, details about Raj’a are not as certain.
