In Nahj al- BalÄgha, Imam Ê¿AlÄ« (pbuh) stated:
“In the future, the war will intensively flare and burn. Also it will be entirely red in tooth and claw.
Having the breasts full of milk, it will reach to its peak. [Here, the war is considered to be a wild, four- legged animal]
Yet it first seems nice; both to milk and to drink the milk,
but it ends in bitterness and malignancy.
His Excellency [Imam Ê¿AlÄ« (pbuh)] referred to the conspiracies and hard wars that occur on the eve of The Peacemakerâs emergence. [The one who makes peace among humans]
Moreover he [Imam ʿAlī (pbuh)] refers to the intensity, duration and expansion of that war, using [those] meaningful allusions.
[The allusion are such as:]
Like an angry animal that stands firmly and its teeth appear. Or like a camel which reaches perfection, when its breasts are full of milk.
