The word “sink [Khasf]” is variously mentioned in narrations [sinking into the earth]

Not only do some narrations refer to “Baydāʾ Khasf for Sufyanī ’s army”, but also they denote some other sinks:

1-   Khasf of Jābiyah [It is] one city on the Shame’s west.

2-   Khasf of Harasta: [It is] a big and developed location among Shame’s gardens which is far from Al- Shām, for one mile.

3-   Khasf of Bagdād

4-   Khasf of Baṣrah.

5-   Al- Jazira Khasf
