The verses of holy Qurʾān, relating to Imām Zamān (mGehr)

1-    Surah Hud, verse 8

وَ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْنا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذابَ إِلى‏ أُمَّةٍ مَعْدُودَةٍ لَیَقُولُنَّ ما یَحْبِسُهُ أَلا یَوْمَ یَأْتِیهِمْ لَیْسَ مَصْرُوفاً عَنْهُمْ وَ حاقَ بِهِمْ ما كانُوا بِهِ یَسْتَهْزِؤُنَ

And if We defer their punishment until a certain time, they will surely say, ‘What holds it back?’ Look! On the day it overtakes them it shall not be turned away from them, and they will be besieged by what they used to deride.

They narrated from Amīr al Mu’menin (pbuh), that he interpreted this holy verse as, “By Ummah Ma’dudah it refers to, Qā’im (mGehr)’s companions who are three hundred and thirteen people.”

Also, Imām Sādiq (pbuh) stated:

By the punishment, it refers to the rise of Imām Zamān and his few companions, who are as many as the Islamic Army in Battle of Badr (It means, they are 313 people).

2-    Surah Ibrāhīm, verse 5

وَ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنا مُوسى‏ بِآیاتِنا أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ الظُّلُماتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَ ذَكِّرْهُمْ بِأَیَّامِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فی‏ ذلِكَ لَآیاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ

And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications, saying: Bring forth your people from utter darkness into light and remind them of the days of Allah; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one.

In the book “Khisāl” by Shaykh Ṣadūq, they narrated from Imām Bāqir (pbuh), who stated, “There are three Ayyām Allah [Days of God): The rise of Qā’im (mGehr)-e Ale Muḥammad, Rajʿa, and the Resurrection Day

3-    Surah Anbiyaʼ, verse 105

وَ لَقَدْ كَتَبْنا فِی الزَّبُورِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ یَرِثُها عِبادِیَ الصَّالِحُونَ

And certainly We wrote in the Book after the reminder that (as for) the land, My righteous servants shall inherit it.

4-    Surah Haj, verse 39

أُذِنَ لِلَّذِینَ یُقاتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا وَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلى‏ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِیرٌ؛

Permission (to fight) is given to those upon whom war is made because they are oppressed, and most surely Allah is well able to assist them;

Ibn Abī Umayr narrated from Abdullȃh ibn Muskān, and he narrated from Imām Jaʿfar Ṣādiq (pbuh), that he stated, “He is Qaim Ale Muhammad who will rise to seek [Imām] Huṣayn (pbuh)’s blood.”

5-    Surah Mulk, verse 30

قُلْ أَ رَأَیْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ ماؤُكُمْ غَوْراً فَمَنْ یَأْتِیكُمْ بِماءٍ؛ مَعِینٍ

They narrated from Imām Riḍā (pbuh), that he stated:

By Maikom, it refers to your doors [saviors] which means, the [Infallible] Imāms. And the Imāms are doors (The doors of divine mercy).

«فَمَنْ یَأْتِیكُمْ بِماءٍ مَعِینٍ»

Who is able to bring/ present the Imāms’ knowledge and decode it?!

6-    Surah Nūr, verse 55

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَ عَمِلُوا الصَّالِحاتِ لَیَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِی الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِینَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَ لَیُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِینَهُمُ الَّذِی ارْتَضى‏ لَهُمْ وَ لَیُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْناً یَعْبُدُونَنِی لا یُشْرِكُونَ بِی شَیْئاً

In the book “Ghayba”, Shaykh Tūsī narrated that, the verse had been descended about the Promised Mahdī and his companions.
