After suppressing the opponents, Sufyanﾄｫ and his large army, will rush into Iraq. So they will head Iraq. When they reach toQirq (Acity in Syria where khabur and Euphrates rivers meet) there will happen a battle and many people will be killed! Perhaps the reasonof such a decimation, is resisting the rulers of the land against Sufyanﾄｫ窶冱 avarice.
According to an authentic hadith by Imﾄ［ Sadﾄｫq (pbuh), 窶連fter Sufyanﾄｫ occupies the safe zones [Damascus, Homs, Palestine, Chalcis ad Belum [in Halab]and Jordan], he will run for nine months窶ｦ窶 (Al- Ghaybah, Tﾅｫsﾄｫ, Ibid, 452)
There are various narrations about Sufyanﾄｫ 窶冱 religion. But as they aren窶冲 documentarily reliable enough, we cannot come to a definite view about Sufyanﾄｫ 窶冱 religion. Yet, it is definite that he is in severe bias and enmity with Shiites, in his religious tendencies.
“I am seeing1 Sufyﾄ］i who deployed [his troops] in Kﾅｫfah square.
And his crier calls,窶 Whoever brings heads of Ali’s Shiites, will be gifted one thousand Dirham.窶
1-ﾂﾂﾂﾂﾂﾂﾂﾂﾂﾂ Imams, Prophet Muhammad, other prophets (pbu th), and other great majesties had the power of spiritual seeing; because of their piety and other spiritual features. So, the word窶 seeing窶 here refers to this type.
