There is no doubt, that [rise] of Sufyanī is of certain signs of the Emergence
Based on a lot of narration, the great scholars like: Ayatullahs Safi al-Gulpaygani and Muḥammad Sadr have confirmed the rise of Sufyanī in The Last Era.
As an example, in a reliable Ḥadīth1 it reads,
“[Once] AbÅ« Hamzah al-ThumÄlÄ«2asked ImÄm SadÄ«q (pbuh),
Your father always stated,
“Rise of Sufyanī is of certain events.
The ImÄm (pbuh) reacted, “Yes, that’s right!â€â€™
1- ḤadÄ«th in Islam refers to the record of the words, actions, and the silent approval, of the Islamic prophet Muḥammad (pbuh&h). ḤadÄ«th have been called “the backbone” of Islamic civilization, and within that religion the authority of ḤadÄ«th as a source for religious law and moral guidance ranks second only to that of the Qur’an (which Muslims hold to be the word of Allah revealed to his messenger Muḥammad (pbuh&h)). Scriptural authority for ḤadÄ«th comes from the QurʾÄn which enjoins Muslims to emulate Muḥammad (pbuh&h) and obey his judgments (in verses such as 24:54, 33:21). While the number of verses pertaining to law in the Quran is relatively few, ḤadÄ«th give direction on everything from details of religious obligations
2- Abu Hamza al-Thumali was pious and righteous companion of ˈAli Zayn al-Abidin (pbuh). He was also a companion of Muḥammad al-BaqÄ«r and JaÊ¿far al-SadÄ«q (pbu th). Al-Najashi said, “He was the best of our companions and the most reliable of them in narration and tradition.†It was reported on the authority of Ali al-Riá¸Ä (pbuh)who said, “Abu Hamza at his time is like Salman at his time.†His supplication was accepted. His sons died martyrs with the great revolutionist, Zayd ibn ˈAli.
He died in the year 150 A.H.
