One of the most eminent lessons of Joseph Sūrat is “How prophet Jacob (pbuh) dealt with the issue “The absence of God’s Walī1.
Jacob (pbuh) used to cry a lot, while he was infallible
and he was expected to be totally thinking of God.
So if his crying for Joseph weren’t a part of his Divine gnostic, he wouldn’t have cried in such a way, at all!
Yet, the prophets (pbu th) didn’t do even MubÄh [allowable behaviors]!
1-    Walī means guardian, supporter and helper.
