Khasf al-Baydā’

 

Baydā’ is the name of a land between Mecca and Madinah.

It is one of the signs of Imam Mahdi (hgr)’s emergence,

which has been raised in both Shia and Sunni authentic books.

In several Shia narrations, this sign has been counted as one of the “certain and definite signs of the Emergence”…

Sufyāni will conquer some areas through a strange war and bloodshed!

A part of Sufyāni’s army will go to Medina and then to the Mecca,

and in Baydā’ area [of Mecca], they will miraculously fall into the earth and perish.

In the book “Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim” it is presented that, ‘Umm Salamah narrated from the Messenger of God [prophet Muḥammad (pbuh)], as he stated:

“A man will take shelter to the God’s house [Ka’bah]. An army will be sent towards him.

[And] while that army arrive to Baydā’, It will fall into the earth.”
