Not only did religion provide some programs for us to have a calm life, but also it persisted in it. This calmness has various aspects: physical, mental, personal, social, vocational, and non-vocational. It also includes the ways to eat, wear clothes, have private affairs among the married ones, sleep calmly, relationships with neighbors and friends.
On the whole, if you want to figure out whether you are close to God or not, you can see whether you are calm or not!
Now, the techniques are:
1-Â Â Â Thinking, is both a general and an initial way to get calmness
In this respect, ImÄm á¹¢Ädiq (pbuh) stated, “A religious individual thinks [solves the problems] and then gets to calmness.†(Shaykh MufÄ«d, AmÄlÄ«, P. 52)
2-Â Â Â After thinking, the first step to get calmness, is to realize the philosophy of suffering [meaningful suffering].
In this relation, ImÄm BÄqir (pbuh) stated, “Sometimes, my workers agitated me to the point of death! But this agitation brought me closer to God (ThawÄb al- A Ì“mal, Page 198)
*~ Many a time, when you realize the philosophy of our suffering, it will disappear! ~*
