The answer is, âThe Use of a mediatorâ is not always a sign of the weakness of the subject.
For example: Saving a feeble insect from drowning, is by a leaf or a thin wood,
because it is too tiny to be taken with a hand, and does not endure the human fingers.
Therefore, the need for a mediator is to increase our ability, not a weakness from God…
The existence of Imam (pbuh); Ḥujjat1 of God as a mediator is not irrelevant with what has been said before…
1-Ḥujjat means proof or demonstration. When used in reference to Imams, it is to point to their status as being living signs of Allah or His proofs. In Shia traditions, there are many references to Imams by the concept of ‘Ḥujjat.’ In fact, Shia Islam believe his majesty MahdÄŤ (Imam Zaman) is considered as the last Ḥujjat of Allah. Thatâs why he (Imam Zaman) is famous as Ḥujjat-ibn-al-Hasan. (Bihar-al-AnwÄr, Volume25, H6 and Volume97, Page 343.)
