Angels are present, too.1

 

بلَى إِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَيَأْتُوكُمْ مِنْ فَوْرِهِمْ هَذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِخَمْسَةِ آلَافٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِين [آل عمران/۱۲۵

 

Translation:

“Yea, if ye remain firm, and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels Making a terrific onslaught.” (The holy Qur’an, Surah Al-E-Imran, Verse 125).”

 

Imam al-Baqir (pbuh) stated:

 

The angels who helped the Messenger of God [Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&h) on the land of Badr during the war on earth did not go up from heaven so far, and they would not, until they could help Sahib al amr2 [Imam Mahdi (hgr)], too.The number of these angels is five thousand.

1-       It means angels are to help Imam Mahdi (hgr) too- when he emerges.

2-       It is Imam Mahdi (hgr)’s title that means, the one who would fill the Earth with justice, it is filled with oppression.
