Requesting and seeking help, ImÄm ZamÄn (mGehr)

Seek and cry for help and supplication from the Sir in times of hardship, illness, doubt, sedition, and calamity. And also, while there spread a lot of religious doubts, intrigues arose. [In these situations,] it seems there is no way out; therefore, we ask the Excellency for a solution to resolve the doubt, remove the distress, and ward off the calamity.

The Sir is knowledgeable about everyone, everywhere, due to his divine power and divine and Instinctual knowledge. He can answer prayers. His grace is universal. And he watches over the affairs of God’s servants and hasn’t neglect does not neglected them.

Also in the letter which he sent to Shaykh Mufīd, the Sir himself stated:

Our [my] knowledge encompasses the news of the people, and there is no exception. We are even aware of the calamity that befalls us!

Based on an authentic document in “Ghaybah,†Shaykh Ṭūsi narrated:

The Third Deputy of ImÄm ZamÄn (mGehr), Sir Abu al QÄsim, Huá¹£ayn ibn Rouh (mGbph) said, ‘Once, our followers disagreed in delegation and other issues. So, I went to Abi Tahir ibn Bilal; during the time he was still faithful.

There, I thought him the correct one. He said, ‘I need more time!’ And I gave him a few days. Then I went to him.

He took out a text which included a Hadith of His Excellency á¹¢Ädiq (pbuh), which was authentic according to him. It reads:

Whenever The Almighty God intends something, He informs in turn: the Messenger of God (pbuh&h), AmÄ«r al MuʾminÄ«n (pbuh), and informs other ImÄms one by one. And the last ImÄm who is informed is SÄhib al ZamÄn (mGehr).

There, it is sent to the terrestrial world [it is put into action]. On the other hand, whenever the angels want to take human actions to The Glorified and Great God, first they inform the Messenger of God (pbuh&h) and then to The Glorified and Great God. Therefore, whatever is descending is by God and then by them, and whatever is ascending is to both The Glorified and Great God and them. And no creature can be independent of God, even for the blink of the eye!

Additionally in the books “Al- MunÄwÄt†and “BarÄhinâ€, Sayyid Huá¹£ayn MuftÄ« Karaki who was the grandchild of Muhaqqiq ThÄnii[1] mentioned that he narrated from Abi Hamza who said:

ImÄm KÄẓim (pbuh) stated, ‘There is no angel who is sent to the Erath by God, except it presents the deeds/ actions, first to ImÄm [ZamÄn (mGehr)]. In fact, the angels are frequently ascended and descended by The Almighty God to Sahib al Amr [mGehr]

In the book “Baá¹£Äʾirâ€, ShuyÅ«kh KashÄ« and SaffÄr narrated from Rumaylah as follows:

[Once,] I had a high fever and I felt weak. So on Friday, I saw there is nothing better than to take a shower, do Ghusl and pray behind Amīr al Muʾminīn (pbuh).  And I did so, that is, I went to the mosque. When Amīr al Muʾminīn (pbuh) went on the pulpit, again I felt I have fever!

[Anyhow,] as Amīr al Muʾminīn ended the speech and entered the saloon, I went to the Sir’s service. Then, he (based on a narration, saw me and) stated, ‘O, Rumaylah! How come some parts of your body are out of balance and agitated?!’ There, I explained my condition to the Sir, and I told him what had made me to pray behind the Sir.

He reacted, ‘O, Rumaylah! There is not any believer who becomes sick, but we will be sick too. And they are not grieved, but we will be grieved too. Also, when they pray to God, we say Amen!’

I [eagerly] told the Sir, ‘O, Amīr al Muʾminīn (pbuh)! May I be sacrificed for you! This grace and mercy is for the ones who stay with you, here in the hall. Now, does it include the ones who live all around the world?’ He stated, ‘O, Rumaylah! No believer is or will be exceptional to us, whether in the east or the west of the world!’

… Furthermore, according to many documents, ShuyÅ«kh á¹¢adÅ«q, SaffÄr, MufÄ«d, and others narrated from His Excelencies BÄqir and á¹¢Ädiq (pbu th), that they stated:

In fact, God doesn’t let the Earth have no scholar who is aware of shortcomings and excesses in matters! Therefore, if believers go too far or waste something, the scholar balances (or based on a narration he lessens) it.

And if it weren’t so there would be chaos in Muslims’ affairs! Or based on another narration, Truth and Falsehood wouldn’t be recognized!
