He (Shaykh al-KulaynÄ«) also narrated from Ê¿AmmÄr ibn ḤayyÄn that he said, ‘I told His Majesty al-á¹¢Ädiq (pbuh), “My son, IsmÄÊ¿Ä«l, does good to me. His Majesty stated, ‘I liked him; but now, I even like him more’.
Verily, the Messenger of God (pbuh&h) had a foster sister. When she came to His Majesty, he looked at her and became happy, then he spread his sheet (there means AbÄ) for her, and sat her on it. Then, he turned toward her, talked to her, and smiled at her. Afterward, she left and her brother came in.
But the Majesty didn’t behave the way, he did with the man’s sister! There, they wondered:
O, the Messenger of God (pbuh&h)! You behaved with his sister in a different way from the way you did with him. Know that he is a man?! We mean, he is superior than his sister in getting that attention and kindness!
He reacted, “It was because, she took care of her parents more than what he did.â€
Anyhow, there is also a narration from IbrÄhÄ«m ibn ShuÊ¿ayb, that he said:
[Once] I said to His Excellency á¹¢Ädiq (pbuh) , ‘In fact, my father has become old and weak. So, we usually help him to go to the rest room, whenever he needs.
He stated, ‘If possible, do it by yourself. It means, you take him to the toilet when he needs to pass water, or, take him the morsel by your hand. These deeds are as a shield for you tomorrow (in the hereafter), from the hellfire.
Moreover, Shaykh á¹¢aduq has narrated from His Majesty al-á¹¢Ädiq (pbuh) that he stated, ‘Whoever likes the Almighty God to ease the agonies of death for him, then, he should bond with his relatives and does well to his parents. So, when he does these, the Almighty God will ease the agonies of death for him and he may never be in distress in that world’.
