On page 13 of the second volume of the book “Sahih BukhÄri” it reads:
The Holy Prophet stated, “Whoever goes out of their rulerâs reign of a governor [even] one span[1], s/ he dies of ignorance!”
Right! Even if we leave ” The Battle of Jamal [camel]”[2] in which Talhah, Zubayr, and âÄâishah ‘s went out of  Ali ibn- AbitÄlib (pbuh)’s reign more than one span, there remains two questionsâŠ
1-   What did the Prophet (pbuh&h) mean by the sentence “If someone⊠the reign of a governor [even], one span, he dies as an ignorant”?
And does this “governor” correspond to any caliph or unjust governor?!
What can we conclude, with some reflection on the delicacy of the Prophet (pbuh&h)’s word and the sensitivity of the supremacy?!
Didnât he several times advise people, to lead towards goodness and prosperity?
2- In the present time (the twenty first century), how much have we tried up to now, in order to know the just ruler who guides to the truth? Have we done something related, not to die of ignorance?
Yet not to go even one span out, isnât something easy, is it?!
[1] It means “everyone who opposes with the government”
[2] A war that broke out during the reign of Imam Ali(pbuh), which launched Talhah, Zubayr, and âÄâishah
