Healing Kāshānī by Imām Zamān (mGehr)

The tenth event is, the event of the sick Kāshānī man who was healed by The Excellency’s blessing.

Yes, in Biḥār [al Anwar] it was written:

A crowd of the people from Najaf informed me, that a Kāshānī man came to Najaf Ashraf in order to go on Ḥajj to Bayt al Harām. But he became disabled there, because of a serious disease. It was so serious that he had still legs, and he couldn’t walk!

Well, his friends left him by one of the veracious men, who had a chamber in the holy courtyard [of Imām Alī (pbuh)’s shrine]. In order to sightsee and pick Durr [Pearl of Najaf], that veracious would close the door and go out, while he was inside [the chamber].

One day the sick man told him, ‘I feel bored and I am about to fear from here! Today, [please] take me along with yourself and leave me somewhere, then go wherever you want!

So he continued, ‘The man agreed and took me out of there. It was a place out of Najaf, that they call “Maqām-e Ḥaḍrat Qā’im (mgehr)”1, then he sat me down there.

He washed his clothes in a pond there, hung them on a tree around there, and went to the desert. There, I was left alone, worrying about how would I end up.

Suddenly, I saw a tawny handsome young man who entered the courtyard and greeted me, then went to the chamber where the Maqām was located, in the Miḥrāb there. He performed some Rakaʿāts of praying; with humility and obedience way, that I had never seen before.

When he finished his praying, he came to me and asked about my condition. I said that I had been afflicted with a disease, that caused but God does not heal me; to regain my health, neither God will not forgive me to be healed, nor he will take me out of the world, so that I can be relieved!

Then the man stated to me, ‘Do not worry, the Almighty God will gift you both, soon.’ Then he left that place and when he went out, I saw the cloth fell off the tree, on the ground

Then I stood up and caught the clothes, washed it and hung it from the tree! Yes, I just wondered, ‘I wasn’t able to stand up! How could I turned to be able and could stand up and walk?!’ As I paid attention, I didn’t feel any pain or sickness in myself! Yes, I realized that man was Qā’im (mGehr) that The Almighty God healed me, due to the blessing and Karamah [marvelous powers] of the honorable Imām. There, I came out of the court yard of that Maqām, and looked around the desert. But I didn’t see anyone! I became very regretful and remorseful, because I didn’t recognize The Excellency.

After that, the owner of my friend’s chamber came and greeted me. He was shocked! Well, I informed him about what happened. And he got very sorrowful that he hadn’t visited The honorable Imām! Then I went to the chamber with him.

Anyway, he was sound till his companions and friends returned. He spent some days with them, then he got sick and died! He was buried in the holy courtyard. Yet, those two things that His Excellency Qā’im (mGehr) had informed him, proved to be true: First was his healing, and second was his death!
